The company Power of Earth was founded in 1995 by Prof. h.c., Dr. (LHD) Kurt Muendl. The objective of the company was and is the international production of high-end TV and cinema films.

Kurt Muendl is one of Europe's most honored filmmakers. His productions have received numerous awards, including the "Gold Camera Award" and "Emmy Award" in the USA, the "Sven-Simon-Preis" award in Germany and the "Romy Award" in Austria.

Already in 1993, Kurt Muendl set new standards worldwide for the genre of TV documentaries. He gained international acclaim with his film "An everyday monster" for the ORF TV series "UNIVERSUM". It was the first ORF film ever to be bought by the BBC.

Down to the present day, more than 60 films have been produced under his direction. International coproduction partners range from America to Japan. In the meantime, productions such as "The shadow hunters", "The messengers of the gods" or "The ice-man" are considered to be classics of the genre.

Power of Earth has also produced for IMAX and Constantin Film.
